Like a golden thread, music has been running through the screenplay of her life. Sometimes taking the leading role. Sometimes playing a minor but appealing part.

What edges her on, what stimulates her as a singer is her true love and passion for music. For the songs and sounds of the 1950´s and 60´s. For the Great American Songbook. For jazz. For Latin music.

It all started with an Elvis song and her emerging a winner from the 1st talent contest initiated by Radio Luxemberg RTL: a teenager making a career in Germany´s schlager music business of the 70´s and early 80´s. Releasing records, touring the country, performing live on stage, being interviewed on the radio and on TV.

Through the years, there were bands of manifold musical styles. Until finally, Sugar – dubbed as the "ambassadress of 50´s music" - becharmed a cross-generational audience. Accompanied by the Candyband, she performed evergreens, rock´n´roll and international chart successes of the post-war era.

There is always a very personal side to any artist´s soul. It strives to be creative in sync with the soundtrack of life. Vintage spirit coupled with modern music trends – that´s Sugar today.

As a singer/songwriter she composes, arranges and creates music of her own. In doing so she is supported by the Sugarvox team. The good vibrations of times gone by merge with the energy and the "esprit" of the here and now.
